Design Thoughts:

After creating the luminosity channels, I added hue/saturation adjustments to really make the background pop. Because I didn't feel like the background was good enough by itself, I decided to add an angel, which really matches the fantasy tone of the image. I didn't want her to stand out too much, so I feathered the edges and lowered the opacity to match the background.

Design Principles:

Contrast: All the colors.

Repetition: Luminosity masking throughout.

Alignment: The angel aligns with the moon.

Proximity: Angel is near the moon and clouds to remind us that she can fly.
